A reflection about "L'impero di Cindia" by F.Rampini

It was yesterday when I finished the reading of the book L'impero di Cindia by Federico Rampini, one of the most important Italian journalists (he has also teached at the universities of Berkeley and Shangai).
I find it is a good book: its main theme, as the Italian title suggests, is an analysis of China, India and of their great growth.
In the first part, it deals with the Indian world, explaining its democracy, the high quality of studies in the computer science sector, as well as the shame represented by the castes and the incredible contradicton of a country where in front of a modern university you can find  pasturizing cows.
The other two parts of the book concern China, including its difficult relations with Japan. Also in this case the author does a deep analysis of the country: on the one hand, the incredible development of its industrial sector and the still increasing population; on the other hand, the problems and the faults of the communist regime, the child labour and the disparity among Hans, Tibetans and Uyghurs.
Despite all the problems, we can not deny the fact that those two nations will be the most important in this century. We can not continue ingnoring or undervaluing them, because in this way we will do nothing else but  condemn ourselves and the future of our sons.
